Kazakhstan planted spring grains throughout over 5.8 mln ha — Ministry of Agriculture

As of May 23, Kazakh agrarians planted spring spiked grain crops throughout 5.864 mln ha, or 41.5% of the planned areas, reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

So, Akmola oblast already planted grains throughout 1.486 mln ha (34.5%), Aktobe oblast — 227 thsd ha (67.3%), Almaty oblast — 246.3 thsd ha (99.6%), East Kazakhstan oblast — 306.2 thsd ha (51.9%), Jambyl oblast — 160.8 thsd ha (104.1%), West Kazakhstan oblast — 156.5 thsd ha (83.3%), Karaganda oblast — 430 thsd ha (52.2%), Kostanay oblast — 1.535 mln ha (38.6%), Kyzylorda oblast — 2.7 thsd ha (84.4%), Pavlodar oblast — 210.4 thsd ha (27.6%), North Kazakhstan oblast — 1.047 mln ha (38.9%), and South Kazakhstan oblast — 54.3 thsd ha (129%).

In addition, agrarians planted corn for grain throughout 127.2 thsd ha (82.16%), rice — 77.9 thsd ha (81.3%), and sugar beet — 19.4 thsd ha (90.6%).

Also, as of the reporting date Kazakhstan planted oilseeds throughout 1.659 mln ha (61.2%) from the plan of 2.516 mln ha.
